Howard Foote had a successful thirty-one year career at Abbott Laboratories, primarily in Chemical Development and Chemical Manufacturing. Among his varied responsibilities were technical support to manufacturing, Chemical Development support to Abbott's custom manufacturing program, process development and start-up of several new pharmaceuticals, design and construction of a new state-of-the-art pilot plant, and the start-up and management of Abbott's chemical hazards evaluation laboratory. He was manager of Chemical Development when he left Abbott in 1997. Mr. Foote then spent two years at Aerojet Fine Chemicals as Director of Business Development, with responsibility for all Sales & Marketing and Business Development. In 1999, Mr. Foote established Meadowbrook Associates, Inc., an independent consulting company providing services to the pharmaceutical industry in competitive and marketing intelligence, sales and marketing support, business development and sourcing. Mr. Foote earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Iona College, New Rochelle, NY, in 1966.
Russell Buchman received a B.A. in Chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY, in 1969 and a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 1973. Dr. Buchman spent the next two years as a Research Associate in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS. During his industrial career, Dr. Buchman has held various technical and managerial positions at Diamond Shamrock Corporation, SDS Biotech, Ricerca, QO Chemicals, G.D. Searle, Pharmacia Corporation, Universal Pharma Technologies, and Abbott Laboratories. In 2002, Dr. Buchman established ChemLinx, Inc., an independent consulting company providing services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and fine chemical industries.
